Andrew Newman

Director

Andrew is a co-founder and Director of Renewable Connections, responsible for the company’s Innovation & Growth division.  A qualified charted accountant, Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector.  In addition to his role in Renewable Connections, Andrew is also a founding director of Armstrong Capital.  Prior to Armstrong, Andrew was the finance director at Low Carbon Investors where he wrote the business plan for the UK’s first feed-in-tariff fund, and prior to that worked in Deloitte’s project finance team where he advised on large-scale energy and transport infrastructure project, including the Czech Government on its proposed sale of its electricity industry in 2001.

Andrew has also worked at Triodos Bank in the Netherlands where he was the Senior Investment Manager for the bank’s Solar Development Capital fund, where he was responsible for the fund’s Asian investments.

Andrew has a first class degree from Oxford University.
